In the Fictional world there is extraordinary amount of attractions and distractions .When someone starts living in a fantasy world his tie with the real world starts SplinteringThe cyber world is a fantasy world. Today’s youngsters is hooked up with their cyber friends like facebook , Twitter, Hike, Whats app and various Messengers .They are almost lost inn cyber world. Urge to say , such youngsters are in congregation of their cyber world friends but , their feelings and emotions are not connected with anyone in real world.
In our film “SWITCH OFF “ Anshu is the name of a guy who is a victim of phone addiction.
He seeks Happiness in the fantasy world of cyber, but due to overtime he spent alone , he slowly goes into Depression.
When his loneliness starts torturing him and he totally splinters from real world , then he realised his mistake of getting addicted to phone and cyber world.

Director Biography

Ram Prasad Mandal (BORN 1987) is an indian film writer and director , Mandal was born and brought up in Jharkhand, Mandal started his career as an assistant director in mumbai , He is writer and director of 3 Short films – Dada ji ki diary, Switch Off, Beggars.

Director Statement

Looking at today’s teenager i feel like they are not using phone but Phone is using them . For few days if we keep someone’s phone . surely one will show the symptoms of Depression.
Teenage of a decade ago spends their time with Family, Friends or in creative work but , today’s teenager wastes their time in phone .Even today,s relations depends on few calls and few messages which are no longer strong than ever.
Their is only one Objective behind making of Switch Off , just to remind people do not waste your precious time on phone because since it arrives will never return ever.
