The Call short film screening on Saturday 28 Jan 2017 at 3pm at iChill Theater Cafe Shaken by her past, Kris Sanchez is met with a call on her first day at work as a 911 dispatcher where she must choose to heal her wounds in pursuance of seeking help for the young caller. Director Biography Josh Ortiz is an award-winning Filipino-American filmmaker from San Francisco, California who now resides in Orlando, Florida. He has produced videos for star athlete and actor Shaquille O’Neal, Celebrity Chef Buddy Valastro aka The Cake Boss, as well as international companies such as Booking.com. In 2014, Ortiz submitted his short film Listen to Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s HBO TV Show Project Greenlight and was awarded Most Unique Short Film, standing out against thousands of entries from across the nation. Listen went on to screen at multiple high school assemblies and film festivals. Ortiz has been featured on NBC News, Yahoo, Orlando Weekly, The Daily Dot, Rappler and several other international news outlets (click text for articles). In 2015, His film Wake Up won Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography at the Orlando 48 Hour Film Project. Out of 4,500 entries, Wake Up was chosen as 1 of the 12 international short films to screen at the 2016 Festival De Cannes. Ortiz is currently working on a primetime TV Show for the History Channel. Lucid short film A man awakens and attempts to change the course of his life, but is he truly in control of his own destiny? Director Biography Award winning director Henrik Bjerregaard Clausen is a filmmaker with a strong emphasis on visual storytelling. In 2008 his short film E.T.A. won the Best New Talent award at Aarhus Film Festival, Denmark and took the prize for Best Animation at BreakPoint in Germany. The short toured the festival circuit for several years and has enjoyed more than a million views online. In 2011 Born Again, his live-action mockumentary about a family of undead christians won for Best Short Film at BUTFF in The Netherlands and was the Runner Up for Best Short at BornShorts in Denmark. In 2013 his first commercial, Biomorph, was released and subsequently published in 3D World Magazine.
