PRE QUALIFICATIONS MECHANICS FOR THE BATTLE OF THE BAND:

1. Open to any amateur band with members not younger than 16 years old but not older than 35years old (non-professional/non-recording).
2. The members of the group may be composed of all males or females, or any combination of both.
3. Registration form will be P500 per band and must be paid before the Elimination Round.
4. They must submit their band profile with group picture (PDF format) and link to a recorded video performance posted on YouTube through email;
5. They will automatically receive a reply with an attached mechanics and registration form.
6. The Audio recording of the video link must be clear otherwise it will be rejected.
7. Online Registration duration will be from Aug. 8 to 21, 2015.
8. Each video will be screened by Cagara Holdings Incorporated weekly and qualified bands will be notified through email and text message regarding the schedule of elimination round schedule and submission of the completely filled up Registration form.
9. The Band should have a minimum of four (4) members and a maximum of seven members and are required to bring their own musical instruments excluding drum set.
10. Qualifying Bands will be chosen to compete in the elimination round on August 22, 2015 to be held at the 3rd Floor Building B Foodcourt Area 999 Shopping Mall Binondo Manila.
11. Bands are required to prepare a total of 3 songs as their entry piece for the eliminations. Songs can be an original piece or a cover from the genres stated below :
Classic Rock (60’s to 90’s)
Alternative Rock
OPM
Pop
RnB
Reggae
New Wave
12. The Band will be given 17 minutes to setup instruments and to perform. 1 point will bededucted to their total score for every minute in excess.
13. Qualifying Bands during the Elimination Round will be competing for the Grand Finals on September 19, 2015.

Do’s: Don’ts:
Each group will perform to any music as long as there are no obscene, lewd or green words in the lyrics.

Too much amplification of instruments that will obscure or over power the volume of the vocals is not allowed.

Each group will perform their choice of music with a time limit of 4 minutes.

Beyond this limit, a total of five (5) points will be deducted from the group’s total score.

The members of the group may be composed of all males or females, or any combination of both.

The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials as props are not allowed.

Medley arrangement of songs is not allowed.
