Director Statement

As an imaginative and innovative writer/director focused on developing original stories exploring issues and themes influencing contemporary society, I am also a very commercially aware independent artist, who strives to explore sensitive subject matter in a reflective and creative way.
Girl And A Scar is a surreal and bizarre visual tableaux of the madness of psychological trauma. With no dialogue, the film aligns the nightmares, dreams and fears of our protagonists childhood memories along with symbols and emblems that reflect her broken mental state within the dark, cathartic journey that she experiences throughout.
